M-LVDS (Multi-Point Low Voltage Differential Signaling)

M-LVDS (multipoint low voltage differential signaling) is a multipoint high speed differential electrical interface with support for up to 32 nodes. Analog Devices M-LVDS products offer the industry’s highest ESD performance transceivers with high noise immunity receivers and extended common-mode range. These products are ideal for applications where designers need to transmit at data rates up to 100 Mbps or 250 Mbps to multiple nodes.

M-LVDS allows a single pair of differential lines to carry this high speed information, saving on connector size and reducing the number of lanes required to fanout this information. Multi-channel M-LVDS transceivers minimize power consumption and PCB footprint in high density applications where more bandwidth or redundancy are needed. These devices adhere to the TIA/EIA-899 standard for M-LVDS and complement TIA/EIA- 644 LVDS devices with additional multipoint capabilities with both Type 1 and Type 2 receivers.
