Analog Devices provides integrated audio click-and-pop suppressors for devices, such as codecs that have integrated headphone amplifiers but lack a clickless and/or popless startup or shutdown. Our integrated click-pop suppression device control the ramping of the DC bias voltage on the output-coupling capacitors and the application of the audio signal to ensure that no audible transients are present at the headphones. Our audio click-and-pop suppressors help eliminate clicks and pops for a variety of applications such as portable multimedia devices, headphones, and audio line outputs.

Analog Devices’ audio digital potentiometers provide stereo volume/balance control to replace mechanical potentiometers in audio applications requiring digitally controlled resistors. Wiper position can be controlled through a serial interface, debounced rotary encoder or push-button up/down interface. Features include single or dual potentiometers with log taper and up to 64 taps, up to 45 kΩ end-to-end resistance, stereo volume control, daisy-chaining, and clickless switching. Our volume control devices consume very little power while providing digital accuracy and reliability under flexible, automatic processor control.
