Product Details

The DC2578A is a complete power chain, including a hot swap controller, an intermediate bus controller, and six point-of-load channels with power system management. The board demonstrates how to safely transfer power from a backplane, through an LTC4281 hot swap controller, through an LTC3886 step-down intermediate bus controller (IBC), and out through the point-of-load converters (POLs) that regulate load voltages. It shows the comprehensive set of power management, cooperation, and safety features of the Analog Devices solution, and showcases how easy it is to configure and manage the whole power hierarchy. Each regulated supply has the ability to sequence, trim, margin, supervise, measure, respond cooperatively to faults, and log fault information in nonvolatile memory. In addition, the onboard load pulser helps with optimizing the adjustable LTC3886 control loop response. The rich set of status and telemetry information provided by the entire system is consolidated and presented under one GUI interface — LTpowerPlay.

The DC2518A is a demonstration system for the LTC2975 Power System Manager that interfaces to various regulators. The board contains all the circuitry needed to use the LTC2975 in a power system and control four power supplies. The four power supplies include linear and switching regulators for the purpose of demonstrating a variety of methods to sense voltage and current. The demo board provides a sophisticated, digitally programmable 4-channel power supply system.

The DC2363A contains four power supplies (LTM4644-1) that the LTC2975 configures and controls. The DC2363A and DC2382A demo boards together provide a sophisticated 4-channel digitally programmable power supply system.

The DC1508B programming board contains the circuitry needed to program and verify the EEPROM of the LTC2974, LTC2975, LTC2977, LTC2978, and LTC2978A. This is its sole purpose. The DC1508B is shipped with a clamshell style programming socket installed. The EEPROM contains the factory default configuration. The LTpowerPlay *.proj file that corresponds to the factory default can be found in the GUI.

The DC2022A is a demonstration system that showcases the LTC2975, a 4-channel I2C/SMBus/PMBus power system manager with EEPROM. The LTC2975 monitors and controls four power supply rails. The LTC2975 also monitors input current and input voltage, which are used to calculate input power and accumulate energy. The DC2022A demonstrates the ability of the LTC2975 to sequence, trim, margin, supervise, monitor, and log faults for four power supplies. Each power supply channel’s output voltage is monitored and the LTC2975 monitors its own internal die temperature.
