SPS 2024: Agile Manufacturing with Industrial Robotics
To optimize robotic installations and achieve more sustainable manufacturing, customers in flexible industrial settings face several challenges such as ensuring precision motion control, accurate actuator position feedback, and reliable perception systems for dynamic control and the execution of intricate tasks. This video explores how ADI is addressing three key pillars of robotics - motion control, precision position sensing and perception sensing.
For motion control, an ADI Trinamic PANdrive solution eases the tuning and control of a motor for torque, position or speed. To close the position loop, the ADMT4000 true power-on multiturn sensor simplifies the mechatronic design and control and, in the event of a power loss, does not require rehoming or external limit switches to resume operation. For perception, the ADTF3175 allows extraction of not only IR information, but also depth information which is processed by the edge processor, eliminating the need of additional external powerful processing units. This is a game changer for vision and perception systems for robotics in general.
