Product Details
This product is obsolete. The replacement evaluation system is the EV-21569-EZKIT.
The ADZS-21569-EZKIT has been designed to allow for evaluation and rapid prototyping of the ADSP-2156x family (ADSP-21562 / 21563 / 21565 / 21566 / 21567 / 21569) of SHARC audio processors designed to provide immersive audio and sound experience in automotive and consumer/pro-audio applications that demand deterministic and low latency real-time audio processing performance. The ADSP-2156x family are single core 32-bit/40-bit/64-bit floating point processors based on SHARC+ DSP architecture, combining flexible audio connectivity and performance scalability with multiple pin compatible variants (from 400MHz to 1GHz) and several on-chip memory options. The ADSP-2156x processors are available in 400-ball CSP_BGA (17mm x 17mm, 0.8mm pitch) and 120-lead LQFP package (14mm x 14mm) options in both automotive and consumer grades to provide design flexibility and enable thermally efficient compact designs across operating temperature range. The ADSP-2156x family features large on-chip SRAM of up to 1.6MB that increases audio processing performance and eliminates the need for external memory to optimize system cost with single-chip LQFP package variants. Enhanced on-chip hardware FIR and IIR filter accelerators running at core speed provides significant added processing capability while reducing overall system cost. Powerful DMA system with innovative digital audio interfaces and internal buses eliminates IO bottlenecks essential for low latency real-time audio processing. Optional DDR3/L connectivity (with BGA variants) provides easy application expansion with reduced system design effort.
The EZKIT ships with all of the necessary hardware to get you up and running and fast prototyping for a wide range of applications including immersive 3D sound and personal audio zones, automotive active and road noise cancellation (ANC/RNC), voice-based user-interfaces and in-car communications (AEC/NR & microphone beamforming), engine sound synthesis (ESS) and electric vehicle warning sound systems (EVWSS/AVAS). Additional applications include professional audio and soundbars / home AVRs (with 3D Object and Multi-Channel Audio).
The evaluation board is designed to be used in conjunction with the CrossCore® Embedded Studio (CCES) development tools to test capabilities of the ADSP-2156x audio processors and enable solution developers achieve fast time to market. The development environment aids advanced application code development and debug, such as:
- Create, compile, assemble, and link application programs written in C++, C, and assembly
- Load, run, step, halt, and set breakpoints in application programs
- Read and write data and program memory
- Read and write core and peripheral registers
