eval board
EVAL-AD5593R-PMDZ

A flexible 8-channel, 12-Bit, Configurable ADC/DAC/GPIO with on-chip Reference, I2C interface PMOD Module

Features and Benefits

  • 8 channels, 12bit ADC and DAC
  • Configurable output to DAC, ADC and GPIO
  • Connectable to FPGA and MCU Platforms

Product Details

The PMOD compatible evaluation/prototyping board is a flexible 8-channel, 12-Bit, Configurable ADC/DAC/GPIO with on-chip Reference, I2C interface PMOD module. This board serves as low-cost alternatives to the full-featured product evaluation boards, with terminal block connections and no extra signal conditioning.  Direct electrical and physical connection will enable you to get started quickly with hardware and software, to help develop your solution.

I2C PMOD peripheral connectors can also be found on many MCU or FPGA development boards, where the EVAL-AD5593R-PMDZ can be connected directly into those systems.  When prototyping, this board is used in conjunction with the ADICUP3029 development platform using our reference code below, and you can customize your own code.

AD5593R Evaluation Board

Product Details

The evaluation board is designed to help customers quickly prototype new AD5593R circuits and reduce design time. The AD5593R operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and incorporates an internal 2.5 V reference to give an output voltage span of 2.5 V or 5 V. An external reference (a 2.5 V reference is provided on the evaluation board) can also be used to give an output from 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF.

The evaluation board interfaces to the USB port of a PC via the SDP board. Software is supplied with the evaluation board to allow the user to program the AD5593R.

This evaluation board requires the EVAL-SDP-CB1Z board (SDP-B controller board), which is available for order on the Analog Devices website at www.analog.com.

PMD-ARD-INT-LCZ

Four PMOD to Arduino Interposer

Features and Benefits

  • 4-Pmod connector communication
    • SPI × 2
    • I2C × 1
    • SPI/UART × 1 (jumper configurable)
  • On board I2C pull-up resistors for high load devices (jumper configurable)

Product Details

The Arduino interface is found on many development platforms and is used in many prototype designs. The PmodTM standard is a 6- , 8- , or 12-pin standard that carries GPIO and/or serial communication protocols. The PMD-ARD-INT-LCZ, a low-cost interposer, enables four Pmod modules to interface with the EVAL-AD5592RPMDZ, EVAL-AD5593R-PMDZ, or EVAL-AD5770R-PMDZ evaluation boards or any equivalent Arduino MCU boards. Additionally, there is a connection matrix that allows external signals from any microcontroller to connect to the four Pmod ports. Out of the four Pmod ports, two ports are configured as SPI Pmod, one is configured as I2C Pmod, and the remaining port can be configured as either SPI or UART Pmod.
