10BASE-T1S Ethernet to Edge Bus (E²B^TM)

The 10BASE-T1S Ethernet to Edge Bus (E²B) from Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) provides a low complexity, high flexibility edge node implementation for automotive applications. By eliminating the need for microcontrollers at the edge nodes, our Ethernet to Edge Bus solution enables the centralization of all software to help enable next-gen zonal architectures and software-defined vehicles. These solutions are IEEE 802.3™-2022 compliant with support for PLCA.

10BASE-T1S E²B products enable highly optimized yet flexible hardware-based Ethernet edge node connectivity solutions. It fits seamlessly into the overall automotive Ethernet architecture and can be used on the same bus as any other 10BASE-T1S compliant product. The transceiver integrates a Low Complexity Ethernet (LCE) hardware engine to enable remote operation as an Ethernet networked device. It also provides a deterministic, low-latency data path from 10BASE-T1S to the sensor/actuator interface. ADI’s E²B solutions offer a broad feature set and designed to provide optimized, reliable performance.
