INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF INNOVATION
In March 2022, Analog Devices CEO Vince Roche visited Ireland to announce an investment of €100 million (about $110 USD) over the next three years in the new ADI Catalyst™ facility located in the city of Limerick. ADI Catalyst is a 100,000 square foot custom-built facility for innovation and collaboration. This latest phase of expansion is expected to create approximately 250 new jobs that will primarily focus on software-enabled solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning innovations in Industry 4.0, automotive electrification, and next-generation connectivity.
Vince Roche visits Ireland to announce a significant investment in ADI Catalyst and meet over 800 staff, key customers, and the Taoiseach (Prime Minister of Ireland).

The investment is supported by the Irish Government and its agency IDA Ireland. The Taoiseach (Prime Minister of Ireland), Micheál Martin TD, attended the official opening of ADI Catalyst and commented, “ADI’s ongoing commitment to Ireland, as witnessed over many decades, is to be celebrated today as we mark yet another significant milestone. In a world where technology continues to permeate every facet of our lives, continued investment in today’s modern digital economy has never been more important. ADI Catalyst further reinforces Limerick and Ireland’s position as both a manufacturing hub for semiconductors and a center of excellence for innovation in Europe.”

At the launch event, which was attended by customers and several dignitaries from the region, CEO Roche said, “ADI Catalyst is our latest investment in the future of innovation, not just in Ireland or Europe, but globally. It provides the ideal environment for experts in their field to connect, collaborate, test, and pilot new technologies, business models, and ecosystems. Opening ADI Catalyst enables us to share ideas, capabilities, and resources with teams in Europe and around the world for the greater good.”
Collaborative Ecosystems

Centered around building collaborative ecosystems, ADI Catalyst is a purpose-built collaboration space where project teams of all shapes and sizes can come together to co-create and innovate industry leading solutions. Utilizing technologies in simulated environments and real-world end applications accelerates the development and adoption of these innovative solutions.
As part of the launch event, Vince Roche and Martin Cotter, SVP Industrial and Multimarkets, brought the Taoiseach on a tour of the facility where they witnessed a number of testbed stations demonstrating the collaborative projects currently being undertaken in ADI Catalyst.

Face to Face Town Halls & Customer Meetings
While in Ireland, Roche met with two key stakeholders in the success of ADI: our customers and our employees.
Employees from the three campuses in Dublin, Limerick, and Cork were invited to meet the CEO during two town halls hosted early in Roche’s weeklong visit. More than 800 people attended to hear company updates and engage in a rigorous Q&A session with Roche. The event was further notable as one of the first large, in-person gatherings permitted in Ireland after two years of working remotely, meaning that many employees had the chance to meet their teammates face to face for the very first time.
Later in the week, five customers visited the Limerick campus to engage in strategic planning sessions with Roche ahead of the official ADI Catalyst launch. On Friday, these customers attended the launch as Roche’s honored guests.
