        Regarding the datasheet of the SSM2211 (and the similar third party "clone" NCS2211 as well) i don't find any documention about a short circuit protection of the differential outputs when using them as BTL. Are there any more details about this? Best regards Christian

        Hi ChrisDan , We can use the Shutdown pin of the SSM2211 to shutdown the part when a short circuit protection occurs. It can be implemented by using a current sense resistor and current sense amplifier on the output. The current sense amplifier will then detect the current reading and by …

        Hi jeobico, thanks for your answer. Yes, meanwhile - as you already mentioned in principle - i'll use a AD8418 current sense amplifier and a comparator (including reference) to drive the shutdown pin of the SSM2211, at the present time only simulated by LTSpice, let's see if it may work …
