        Docs & FAQs
        Switches/Multiplexers
… parts are fault protected and therefore can withstand quiet high voltages when the supply is off and also can withstand signals outside the supplies. The ADG508AKN is not fault protected. For normal operation of the ADG508AKN, the analog i/p range is limited to the supplies, with the absolute max …

Hi, I'm working with two ADG508AKR connected to an ADC (AD7880CR) through an OP297GS. On one of the multiplexer, I have an input which is an option to my design. When this option is not installed, the input is floating. We are reading each channels (except the floating one …

Hi Sabine, Sorry for the late reply. In general you should avoid floating an input to an unknown potenital. It can cause issues with charge/voltage building up and then being discharged when the switch is closed. There are several approaches but typically unused pins are grounded. Regards, Eric.

Hi Veerasamy, You can see from the power dissipation in the abs max ratings section that the power derates to 0W at approximately 153C. So it can be assumed that 150C is the max junction temperature. i.e. 470mW/(6mW/C) = 78.3C + 75C = 153.3C Rgds, Paul
