Hello everyone, I am creating a comparator circuit which will take a triangle wave and turn it into a square wave. Now, for my Vref, I do not have a fix input. I have it adjustable in the sense that it is a DAC (Schematic is attached). This will allow …

… a sign magnitude converter, similar to Figure 6 of the AD7545A datasheet (https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/AD7545A.pdf). For that I need an AD7592JN CMOS switch. It seems as if the AD7592JN is obsolete now; which (active) part can be used to replace it?

Hi Kazu, Based on the timing specifications, it should be around 1.3 MSps for Ta= 0 to 70C, VDD=5V since you need two consecutive parallel writes to update the DAC register. Can you share some information if you are considering this part for a new design? This is …

Yes, that is true but, the DAC is used to control the duty cycle of the output waveform. The hysteresis is used to prevent any jittering in the input waveform from causing any unwanted misfires. (See pic). At any rate, I breadboarded the circuit and to my surprise, there is …

Hi, philm! Comparator will be drived by output voltage of DAC directly. Very simply. No R1,R2 needed. At DAC you dated valid code for needed Vcontrol from DAC. Regards!
