Lithium Battery Content in Maxim Products

Maxim produces a variety of products that contain embedded lithium coin-cell batteries. As a direct result of changes to environmental and transport legislation, customers have asked about the battery in some of our products.

Table 1 shows active products with a lithium coin cell at the date this publication.

To locate the Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the listed battery cell type, visit the Panasonic^® website.

If the cell type listed in Table 1 begins with "ML," then look for the category Rechargeable Coin Type on the Panasonic webpage. Based upon your selection, you will be directed to the specific product page which at center page begins with a marketing overview of that battery type. Directly above the word "Overview" is a link titled Resources (Click to Expand/Close). Expanding that list will present links to locate RoHS, MSDS, disposal, and other information for the selected chemistry.

To locate the RoHS-compliant materials information for the Maxim product in question, visit our website. Enter the product number into the search box. The search engine will display all available ordering options of that product. After you select an ordering option from the list, the contents will then be displayed as a percentage of the total product weight. Reports can be downloaded in a .pdf file format.
