AD5533B
Obsolete32-Channel Infinite Sample-and-Hold
Part Details

|
The AD5533B combines a 32 channel voltage translation function with an infinite output hold capability and is an improved spec version of the already available AD5533.
The AD5533B works by sampling an analog input voltage, Vin, on the common input pin, and its digital representation transferred to a chosen DAC register. VOUT for this DAC is then updated to reflect the new contents of the DAC register. Channel selection is accomplished via the parallel address inputs A0-A4 or via the serial input port. The output voltage range is determined by the offset voltage at the OFFS_IN pin and the gain of the output amplifier. It is restricted to a range from VSS+2V to VDD-2V because of the headroom of the output amplifier.
The device is operated with AVCC = +5V±5%, DVCC= 2.7V to 5.25V, VSS = -4.75V to -16.5V and VDD= 8V to 16.5V and requires a stable +3V reference on REF_IN as well as an offset voltage on OFFS_IN. It is available in a 74-lead 12mm x 12mm CSPBGA package.
Also see the AD5532B. It is similar to the AD5533B in that it is specified in the infinite sample and hold mode of operation, but it has an additional 32-channel, voltage-output 14-bit DAC mode of operation.
Differences are:
AD5533ABC-1 | AD5533BBC-1 | Mode | |
---|---|---|---|
Offset error | ±50 mV | ±10 mV max (±1 mV typ) | I-SHA |
TUE | Not spec'd | ±12 mV max (±2 mV typ) | I-SHA |
Gain | 3.46/3.52/3.6 | 3.51/3.52/3.53 min/typ/max | I-SHA |
Applications
- Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
- Optical switches
