Code for Bank-Switching with the 653X-Series

Abstract

The Teridian 71M6531/71M6533/71M6534, residential and polyphase energy-meter system-on-chip (SoC) devices, each contain an 80515 microcontroller that can only address 64KB of code. Using banked code, this application note explains how to design firmware with more than 64KB of code for the 71M6531 residential-energy metering SoC.
