Product Details

The Blackfin® USB-LAN EZ-Extender daughter board allows developers to connect to the Asynchronous Memory Bus on the ADSP-BF533 EZ-KIT Lite, ADSP-BF537 EZ-KIT Lite and ADSP-BF561 EZ-KIT Lite.

The EZ-Extender has peripherals that support USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet. A MII Connector can also be used when interfacing to a ADSP-BF537 EZ-KIT Lite. The MII connector allows a user to plug in different PHY evaluation boards.

Applications and information about the use and connection of the various interfaces on the Blackfin EZ-Extender are available from Analog Devices.

Software Development Tools

CCES is a world-class integrated development environment (IDE) for the ADI Blackfin®, SHARC® and Arm® processor families.

Software Module

The Bitmap Image File (BMP) Decoder library for the Blackfin processor implements data handling for BMP data as uncompressed data format or an RLE encoder data.
The Vision Analytics Toolbox (VAT) library for the Blackfin processor provides a set of software modules that make use of primitives from the video content analysis toolbox (VCAT) and provides solutions to relatively complex problems like face detection, edge detection, shape detection, classification, and others.
The Multiband Graphic Equalizer library for the Blackfin processor allows audio signals to be filtered with a bank of band filters.
The Image Processing Toolbox library for the Blackfin processor implements a set of image processing primitives designed to enable faster development of complex image or video processing solutions.
The GIF (graphics interchange format) Decoder library for the Blackfin processor supports handling of data in GIF file format with data movement support, configurable to use either cache mode or MDMA.
Adaptive Jitter Buffer
The MPEG-4 HE-AAC v2 decoder library (with DAB and DRM support) for the SHARC processor implements a combination of Advanced Audio Coding (AAC), Spectral Band Replication (SBR) and Parametric Stereo (PS), standardized as the High-Efficiency v2 profile in MPEG-4 (HE AAC v2).
The Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) Decoder library for the Blackfin processor implements a Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) Decoder, which is compliant with the Q.24 ITU specification.
The Constrained Energy Lapped Transform (CELT) coder/decoder library for the Blackfin processor implements the CELT audio codec, which is one of the components of the Opus codec.
The Video Content Analysis Toolbox (VCAT) library for the Blackfin processor implements a set of video analytics tools to be used in video surveillance for detection of events, such as intrusion detection, left/removed object detection.
The 2D Graphics Primitives (BF2DGL) library for the Blackfin processor implements primitives, which are based on the Open GL-ES/OpenCV APIs and are supported with wrapper example code for the OpenGL-ES/OpenCV, GLUT, and extended APIs.
The Audio Mixer library for the Blackfin processor can mix N number of input channels to M output channels and can be used directly for VoIP applications.
The ADI MPEG-4 SP/ASP Decoder library for the Blackfin processor implements an MPEG-4 video decoder, which is compliant with the INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ISO/IEC14496-2, Information technology — Coding of audio-visual objects — Part 2: Visual, Third edition 2004-06-01.
